Tips for Photographing Multiple Children
It certainly gets harder with the more children you photograph. It’s even harder when they are close in age! In doing these ages, I will always incorporate the help of their parents. I can usually get all the children to laugh, but if it doesn’t happen, that is when mom and dad can be a big help! There is always the power of photoshop, which I will have to use, to get those perfect photos with everyone looking and smiling! Another great tip is to have the parents standing right by me, so if any of the kids look at them, it looks like they are looking straight at the camera! As with all children, there is a certain time that is the best for getting them at their happiest moments. This is usually after nap time or in the morning. Since good light is usually too early, I will shoot evening sessions. I will go as late as I can for a happy baby. Having them fed before the session is a must! It’s just as important as a nap beforehand, too.
